Raven's Mark FAQ's

Below you will find the answers to many of the questions we get asked most often.  If you don't see the answer to your question, please feel free to contact us. 


  • What are the hours of Raven's Mark?

    We are open Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, and Fridays and Saturdays until 9:00pm.

  • How do I book a consultation/appointment?

    To book a consultation and/or appointment, you can either stop by or click the "BOOK NOW" button at the top of the page. Feel free to bring photo references for inspo or placement.

  • How much does a tattoo cost?

    The price of a tattoo will depend on the artist and the piece, however our shop minimum is $100. If you would like a price quote, we recommend booking a free consultation with the artist of your choice to discuss style, size, and placement. 

  • Does the shop accept walk-ins?

    Yes. Walk-ins are available daily on a first come, first served basis. Not every artist will be available for walk-ins and we recommend contacting the shop in advance about availability.

  • Will you email me the design before I get the tattoo?

    As a shop policy, we do not send the designs over beforehand. The tattoo artists work on each customer’s design shortly before the tattoo happens and will have it ready for you when you come to the studio. If you wish to do any changes to the design, that’s absolutely fine and we will make sure that you are 100% happy with the design before starting to tattoo.

  • What forms of payment are accepted?

    We accept cash and credit/debit cards. 

  • How old do I have to be to get a tattoo?

    You must be 18 years or older to get tattooed in California. To get tattooed at Raven's Mark, you must provide a valid State or Federal photo ID.

  • Does the shop do piercings?

    Yes we do.  Please see our pricing page for our most common piercings.

  • Can I get pierced if I am under 18?

    In order for us to pierce someone under 18 it is required that a parent or legal guardian, with their ID, is present along with a birth certificate of the minor being pierced.

  • Do I have to leave a deposit?

    Yes, a non-refundable deposit is required to make an appointment. 

  • How do I cancel my appointment?

    If you give a 48 hour notice, we can reschedule and transfer your deposit to your new appointment (for a maximum of three times.) However, if you contact the shop after the 48 hour window or fail to show up for your appointment you will forfeit your deposit. We value our client's time as well as that of our artists.

  • How should I prepare for my appointment?

    Eat well and stay hydrated prior to your appointment. It doesn’t hurt to bring along a snack, especially if you’re prone to passing out. AVOID drinking heavily 24 hours before your appointment as alcohol acts as a blood thinner and can impact the overall appearance of your tattoo. DO NOT bring your entire entourage to your appointment as seating is limited. DO shower prior to your appointment. If you have any additional questions, please reach out to us directly.

  • Can I get tattooed if I’m pregnant?

    If you are pregnant or a nursing mother, we will not be able to tattoo you. Your body is already going through a lot of changes and we don’t want to risk posing any problems to your health or the health of your baby.
